For more than three decades, IONA has been engaged in manufacturing and selling cosmetics. Sold at pharmacies, drug stores and beauty salons across Japan, the IONA® brand has established its own unique position as a series of outstanding basic cosmetics products.
With IONA as a wholly owned subsidiary, Zeria adds a new line of basic skin care products to its lineup, thereby making its full-scale entry into the cosmetics field. By combining and mutually supplementing the Zeria Group’s technologies in pharmaceuticals and beauty supplements with IONA’s technologies and expertise in cosmetics, we will strive to create various synergies that will help generate new possibilities in product development and sales.
As the first stage, in 2009 we launched Ritorno®, which was jointly developed by Zeria and IONA. Ritorno® is a basic cosmetics brand built on a new concept that combines Chondroitin from Zeria and ion from IONA. In 2010, we launched IONAVIE® to target the growing market for sensitive and troubled skin care. Also, with the
addition of IONA’s cosmetics manufacturing base (Fukushima Industrial Park) to Zeria’s Saitama Plant and Tsukuba Plant, we are further strengthening and enhancing our production structure by expanding the types of items produced at domestic production sites. |
